Ninety-eight Korean businessmen in Yiwu were released from 14 days of medical observation on Aug 13.

They arrived 14 days ago at the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on a chartered plane sponsored by the municipal government of Yiwu.

During their medical observation period, local authorities delivered Korean food to them, and medical workers were available to take their temperatures and carry out nucleic acid tests twice a day.

"I miss Yiwu food so much. I'm going to fill my belly today," said Li Zhonghan (Chinese name), a Korean businessman. His departure for Yiwu was postponed for nearly half a year due to the epidemic.

He said Yiwu's e-commerce industry is very developed and it is easy to do business online, but he still prefers to examine items in person before buying them.

South Korea and Yiwu have a strong economic partnership. In 2019, South Koreans made a total of 34,362 visits to Yiwu, up 90.61 percent year on year, while Yiwu's total trade with South Korea was valued at 2.69 billion yuan ($385.2 million).
