The competition is being held every Saturday from Aug 29 to Sept 19 and is divided into six preliminaries and one final. After each preliminary match, the top six contestants will move on to the final.

The competition selected more than 30 varieties of wine from more than 10 countries and regions. Fifty participants will taste the wines blindfolded and answer questions about each wine's origin, brand, and age.

"The blind tasting competition is meant for wine lovers. We understand the history and culture surrounding wine, and the competition gives us a chance to share our passion with others," said Wang Bin, a contestant.

Courses offered by famous wine connoisseurs are also available during the competition, and visitors can partake in events such as a candy festival, a Marvel superhero cosplay, and 3D experiences.

It is China's leading purchasing and exhibition center for imported goods, and many of its commodities, such as household goods and jewelry, are from countries along the Belt and Road.

"We hope that this event serves as a platform for wine lovers in Yiwu to share their passion for wine and learn more about global wine culture. We also hope it will stimulate Yiwu's wine market," said Shi Jian, a spokesperson for the Yiwu China Imported Commodities Mall.
