Zhejiang sets targets for investor recruitment
The Zhejiang provincial government recently issued a guideline on the recruitment of investors.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, the province aims to launch 500 projects backed by investments from domestic enterprises outside Zhejiang. Each of these projects will have more than one billion yuan ($157.3 million) in investments. The key areas for the investment include emerging industries such as digital economy, life health, new material, and marine economy.
Among these projects, the numbers of above-two-billion-yuan projects, above-five-billion-yuan projects, and above-10-billion-yuan projects are targeted at 200, 100, and 20 respectively.
The guideline also set the goal of having the accumulated actual use of foreign investment reach $100 billion during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
The foreign-invested projects should include 500 above-100-million-dollar projects, 50 above-one-billion-dollar projects, and 100 projects invested by Fortune Global 500 companies.
