Yiwu, the world's largest small commodity market, took part in the fifth Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Fair, which opened in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on June 18.

The 180-square-meter Yiwu exhibition area displayed more than 500 high-quality foreign trade exhibits, including pet supplies, auto parts, daily necessities, hats, accessories and high-selling products for cross-border e-commerce. The products came from the Chinagoods e-commerce platform and many merchants from over 20 industries at the Yiwu International Trade Market Area.

Zhang Yuanlin, director of the big data company of the Zhejiang China Commodities City Group, promoted the Chinagoods platform and its functions to visitors and buyers at the event.

According to Zhang, the group started operating the Chinagoods online platform two years ago, bringing about 75,000 booths with 2.1 million types of goods from the Yiwu International Trade Market online. Buyers are able to search, order and pay for products from Yiwu through the online platform.

The "Benben to find goods" channel on the Chinagoods online platform can help buyers compare goods and prices from different online merchants easily, said Zhang.

In July 2018, Yiwu was listed among the third group of national cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones. Since then, the cross-border e-commerce business has grown year after year. In 2021, the cross-border e-commerce transaction value saw a year-on-year increase of 16.38 percent to 101.357 billion yuan ($15.07 billion).
