The 28th China Yiwu International Commodity Fair, running from Nov 24 to 27, proved successful in promoting trade and economic cooperation, according to local media outlets.
This year's 3,600 international standard booths in the 100,000-square-meter exhibition area displayed products such as hardware tools, mechanical and electrical machinery, electronic appliances, consumer goods, crafts, toys, sports and outdoor products, and office supplies.
Over 300 enterprises were invited to take part in various matchmaking meetings on site and online.
Chen Shasha, an exhibitor from a local new energy company, said that many domestic and foreign buyers expressed interest in placing orders at the fair.
A special exhibition area in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Yiwu's wholesale market for daily commodities was also set up. Through advanced technologies such as holographic images and virtual digital humans, the area reproduces the development history of Yiwu's wholesale market, showcasing its achievements as well as future plans.
