Yiwu toy merchants sign orders at HK fair

A trade delegation from Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, obtained orders worth more than 25 million yuan ($3.73 million) during a major fair in Hong Kong featuring toys and games, according to the Yiwu bureau of commerce on Jan 14.
The 49th HKTDC Hong Kong Toys and Games Fair, a three-day event jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Messe Frankfurt (HK), concluded on Jan 12 after bringing together more than 1,000 exhibitors to showcase a wide range of inspiring toys and games.
More than 30 businessmen from 14 Yiwu-based enterprises were among the exhibitors. It was also the first business delegation sent by Yiwu to look for business opportunities outside the Chinese mainland.
Yiwu, China's small commodities hub in Zhejiang province, is popular around the world. Over 550 buyers communicated with Yiwu exhibitors and made deals during the fair.
