Red tourism train transports 10,000 passengers in 10 days

The Y702 train, the first red tourism train in the Yangtze River Delta, transported 10,915 passengers in 10 days, local media reported on July 9.

The train started transporting passengers between Jiaxing and Shanghai on June 25 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

The train connects red tourism spots in the two cities, including the Site of the First National Congress of the CPC in Shanghai, the Memorial Hall for the Site of the First National Congress of the CPC, the former site of Bowen Girls' School, the reconstructed Jiaxing Railway Station, the Red Boat on Nanhu Lake, and the Nanhu Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall.

Train tickets can be purchased on China's official railway ticket-booking platform 12306.

The train departs Shanghaixi Railway Station at 8:48 am and arrives at Jiaxing Railway Station at 10:01 am every day. The return trip leaves Jiaxing at 6:10 pm and arrives at Shanghaixi Railway Station at 7:38 pm.
