Zhejiang's Jiaxing Nanhu Airport opens ticket sales

Jiaxing Nanhu Airport in East China's Zhejiang province has opened ticket sales for its inaugural passenger route, with flights to Beijing Daxing International Airport set to begin on Dec 26.
The airport, which received its operating license from the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Nov 24, becoming Zhejiang's ninth licensed civilian airport, will commence operations by the end of December, with routes to Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Changchun. Routes to Kunming, Harbin, Chongqing, Xi'an, and Haikou will follow before Spring Festival.
It features a 3,400-meter runway, 56 stands, and an annual capacity for 1.8 million passengers and 1.1 million metric tons of cargo and mail. Once in operation, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport will become the Yangtze River Delta region's first and the nation's second dedicated air-cargo hub combined with regional passenger services.
