The Yunhe Terrace Scenic Area in Lishui, Zhejiang province was recently designated as the first "Large Format Photography Creation Base" by the National Large Format Photography Group Committee.

Situated in Chongtou town, Yunhe county, Yunhe Terrace is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, offering a blend of tourism, photography, sightseeing, and cultural immersion. With a history of over 1000 years, the terraced fields are the largest terrace group in East China, spanning an area of 8.02 square kilometers.

The art of large-format photography involves using large-size film or photographic materials to capture images with exceptional detail and quality. This technique allows for high resolution, shallow depth of field, and long exposure, offering a unique visual appeal.

Often referred to as the "most beautiful terrace in China", Yunhe Terrace’s picturesque landscapes, deep-rooted history, and vibrant cultural traditions provide an ideal canvas for photography, attracting photographers and tourists from all over.

A recent photography activity in the scenic area drew large-format photographers from across the country. They captured the beauty of terraces, farming culture, and nature with their lenses.
