The 2021 Yangtze River Delta Football Super League kicked off at Boya International Academy in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province on April 24.

The event was hosted by Boya International Academy and the Shanghai Rugby Football Association. It is the first time for the games to be held in Shaoxing.

In the opening game, the home team Boya Sharks played against Shanghai Owls, an all-star team made up of players from three Shanghai schools.

According to Boya International Academy, they hired a foreign coach to train their teenage players with hopes of introducing the exciting sport to more children in Shaoxing.
