The expo had a total of more than 53,000 visits, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 percent. Nearly 250,000 visitors took part in the expo through the internet.

"The expo has not only brought us many business orders but has also helped us get to know more about the latest growth trends of the textile industry," said Wang Dong, general manager of Yi Wan Cloth, a company specialized in producing fabrics for fashion womenswear.

Yi Wan Cloth, which has four shops in China Textile City, showcased a newly developed recyclable fabric at the expo.

Professional live streamers were also invited to help promote textile products via online channels.

"Livestreaming makes communication between exhibitors and potential buyers from home and abroad possible and it greatly improves the efficiency," said Guo Mu, honorary president of the Zhejiang Association for Exhibition Industry.

According to the Keqiao Exhibition Development Center, the 2021 Keqiao Textile Expo (Autumn) will be held at the same venue from Oct 26 to 28.

The expo that will be held in the next half of this year will take place simultaneously with the World Cloth Merchants Conference and the Keqiao Fashion Week (Autumn), and will span 360,000 square meters.
