The first Zhejiang (Shaoxing) Machine Tool & International Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Robots Exhibition took place at the China Textile City International Exhibition Center in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 15.

The 3-day exhibition attracted nearly 300 companies from across the world to display their latest products and technologies in numerically-controlled machine tools, industrial robots, and laser cutting.

"Shaoxing has a highly-advanced intelligent manufacturing industry. Many companies purchased our machine tools at the exhibition," said a staff member of Tsugami at the exhibition.

He mentioned that Zhejiang Sanhua Intelligent Controls Co bought 500 machine tools from them.

"China's machine tool industry is currently at a prime stage of development," said a staff member of Ningbo-based Haitian Precision, an exhibitor whose annual sales volume reached 15 billion yuan ($2.3 billion) in 2020.

Four Shaoxing companies attended the exhibition, including Zhejiang Kaida Machine Tool Co who brought six new prototype machines.
