The population of differently-abled people in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province has reached 312,500. The city is helping them develop vocational skills, while offering services to help make their lives more convenient.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), the city built 100 training and nursing facilities for people with physical or mental disabilities. According to city's disabled persons' federation, 27 similar facilities will be built in 2021.

"We are working with private and State-owned companies to find suitable positions for differently-abled job seekers," said an official. "Our services include nursing, skills training, recovery training, cultural and sports activities, as well as employment guidance."
