​Celebrating CPC centenary

As of June 5, Zhejiang was home to a total of 4.2 million CPC members, who were affiliated to 240,000 grassroots branches of the CPC. 

Nearly 200,000 people joined the CPC between Jan 1, 2020 and June 5, 2021, more than half of whom did so over the first half of this year.

There were 52,000 CPC members in Zhejiang when the People's Republic of China was founded in 1949.

After a century of glorious history, the CPC has developed into the largest Marxist ruling party in the largest socialist country in the world with over 95 million Party members.

Today, China's per capita GDP exceeds $10,000. China has the world's largest middle-income group and the world's largest social security system.
