28 Zhejiang athletes to compete at Tokyo Paralympics

China will send a contingent of 251 athletes to compete in the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, which is set to run from Aug 24 to Sept 5.

Team China has 28 athletes from East China's Zhejiang province, including six swimmers, three archers, one weightlifter, one cyclist, one blind soccer player, six sitting volleyball players, three canoeists, one yachter, and six blind gateball players.

They will participate in 25 competition categories.

At the Rio 2016 Paralympics, Zhejiang athletes took home 12 gold, 11 silver, and 12 bronze medals, as well as broke six world records, delivering one of the best performances among Chinese provinces.
