The Zhuji Association for Overseas Students in Europe and US was founded in Zhuji, a county-level city in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 21.

In a congratulatory letter sent by the Zhejiang Association for Overseas Students, it is hoped that the Zhuji Association for Overseas Students in Europe and US will make greater contributions to building Zhuji into a demonstration area for common prosperity and promoting the city's modernization.

The first council for the association was also set up at the founding ceremony following an election.

Shen Zhijiang, a top official of Zhuji, expressed congratulations on the founding of the association, noting that the association will serve as a platform for exchanges between Zhuji students studying abroad.

Shen also vowed that full support will be offered to the association.
