The Yangtze River Delta International Agriculture Wholesale Center began to attract new investment projects on Feb 28.

Representatives from over 30 national key agricultural wholesale markets and more than 20 leading enterprises in the agricultural product supply chain convened to deliberate on topics including "Market Investment Promotion and Dealer Service System Construction," "Wholesale Market Digitalization," and "Cold Chain Logistics and Supply Chain Development."

Scheduled for operation by 2025, the Yangtze River Delta International Agriculture Wholesale Center foresees facilitating annual transactions exceeding 1.5 million metric tons.

Positioned as a comprehensive platform for fresh produce procurement and distribution, the center aims to provide the widest array of formats and the most advanced modern cold chain logistics cluster available.

An official from the Shaoxing municipal supply and marketing cooperative emphasized that the center, anchored by an 80,000-ton cold chain logistics system, is poised to evolve into a modern nucleus for agricultural product circulation.
