Shangyu-based Zhejiang Rein Gas Equipment Co in Shaoxing is a supplier of hydrogen storage and transportation equipment for the Paris Olympics.

Cao Wenhong, the company's technical director, said that the Olympic order required nine hydrogen bundle container units meeting the latest European standards.

The company formed an elite team to ensure excellence in design, manufacturing, and service. The product design underwent four major revisions, adding 11 new components, including fire shields, remote control systems, and venting devices, to enhance safety.

Given the 50-day sea transport followed by land transport, the research team further optimized the product's exterior coating and structural framework.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhejiang Rein Gas Equipment Co provided hydrogen storage equipment for the hydrogen refueling stations. Last year, the company entered the European hydrogen station market, with its hydrogen storage containers being used in Europe's first underground hydrogen station.

Chen Fan, general manager of Zhejiang Rein Gas Equipment Co, said that the 2024 Paris Olympics has opened new international opportunities for Zhejiang Rein Gas Equipment Co. Currently, the production workshop is busy fulfilling a hydrogen storage equipment order for Australia.
