The 16th Zhejiang (China) Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo opened in Keqiao district, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, on Dec 20.
The expo featured over 100 national-level and more than 300 provincial-level intangible cultural heritage (ICH) projects, running until Dec 23.
This year's expo was divided into twelve themed exhibition areas, focusing on local specialties, traditional medicine, tea culture, traditional cuisine, wedding customs, and interactive ICH experiences.
In the traditional cuisine section, over 50 ICH food projects were exhibited, with more than 20 renowned local snack projects featuring live demonstrations and performances by skilled artisans, offering attendees a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
The wedding customs exhibition area allowed visitors to interact and experience the charm of traditional wedding customs. In the interactive ICH experience zone, attendees can get up close and personal with the beauty of intangible cultural heritage.
The expo also boasted a public ICH stage, where 21 special performances will be held throughout the event.
To further promote the innovative development of Zhejiang's ICH and rejuvenate historical classic industries, the expo will host the first "Zhejiang Historical Classic Industry Boutique Auction". This event aimed to explore new models for the industrialization of intangible cultural heritage.
