The State Administration for Market Regulation recently issued the 2024 No 29 China National Standards Announcement, officially releasing the national standard GB/T 44870-2024 Terminology, Classification and Model Compilation Method for Complete Sets of Equipment for Fiber Carbonization Production.

This standard, for the first time, provides relevant inspection and evaluation criteria from the aspects of terminology, classification, and model compilation methods. It specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for the equipment in detail.

This standard was spearheaded by the leading carbon fiber enterprise Zhejiang Jinggong Integrated Technology Co.

The simultaneous release of the English version of this national standard will facilitate leading trade exports and enhance China's voice in the international market.

Carbon fiber is celebrated for its high strength and lightweight properties, playing a crucial role in aerospace, transportation, wind power equipment, and the burgeoning fields of low-altitude economy and humanoid robots.

The standardization of complete sets of equipment for fiber carbonization production, a key link in fiber material production, directly impacts product quality and industry development.

Since the project was initiated in July 2022, Jinggong Integrated Technology has organized over 20 technical experts and collaborated with leading industry enterprises, universities, and client companies.

Through extensive research and in-depth discussions over more than two years, the standard was developed through multiple stages, including framework formulation, drafting, solicitation of opinions, and online public consultation, culminating in its official release.
