At Zhejiang Omnipoten Spring Machine Co in Shaoxing on Dec 16, foreign experts were seen collaborating with engineers on mechanical design issues in the workshop.

The company currently employs five Ukrainian experts. "With their assistance, we have made significant progress in developing online cutting equipment and reducing product energy consumption," said a company representative.

Since the implementation of the "Zhejiang Province Foreign Expert Workstation Management Measures" in 2020, Shaoxing has established six provincial-level foreign expert workstations, ranking among the top in the province.

"These workstations play a leading and exemplary role in promoting industrial transformation and upgrading," said an official from the municipal science and technology bureau.

"We are implementing reforms to integrate work permits with social security cards, optimizing the 'one-stop' service mechanism for foreigners' work and residence permits in China, and promoting a green channel for high-end talent, reducing processing times by more than half," said the official.

Currently, Shaoxing has attracted over 2,000 high-level foreign talents, placing it among the top in the province.
