The digital strawberry plantation in Putuo district, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province commenced operations on July 2.

Featuring an innovative eight-layer structure of organic strawberry vertical planting racks, the plantation has already seen the sprouting of lush green seedlings, marking a significant breakthrough in the city's modern agriculture.

Equipped with advanced technologies such as multi-layer strawberry planting modules, LED plant lighting, precision drip irrigation systems, intelligent environmental control systems, and digital operational management, the plantation ensures optimal growing conditions.

These technologies precisely regulate environmental factors, providing strawberries with a clean growing environment, specialized light spectra, and automated, uniform irrigation.

The intelligent greenhouse planting system boasts several key features, including health and safety with no pesticide residues, year-round production unaffected by seasonal changes, and customized planting across the entire production chain, according to Wang Kaile, a planting engineer at the plantation.

Wang added that the strawberries are not only visually appealing and delicious but also produce a yield over 10 times higher than traditional cultivation methods. The economic value is 50 to 80 times higher.
