The 25th Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival opened on the evening of July 13.

This year's festival, with the theme "Sand Drawing the Year of the Dragon: Legends of Mountains and Seas", features over 50 sand sculptures created by more than 20 renowned Chinese sand sculptors over 40 days and spans a 10,000 square meter area.

The "Legends of Mountains and Seas" section draws from ancient Chinese texts, showcasing legendary figures, mythical stories, and rare beasts to offer a multi-dimensional experience of ancient myths. The "Dragon Year" section features intricate sand sculptures of dragon totems and the Nine-Dragon Wall, blending sea and dragon motifs to create a unique visual experience.

Visitors have the chance to write their wishes on the blessing wall, explore the mountain and sea views from the moon ladder, ride a mini train through the mythical world, and enjoy water activities like speed boats, sailboats, and jet skis.

Since its inception in 1999, the festival has boosted tourism and enlivened the city. This year's festival blends modern perspectives with traditional themes, creating a dynamic fusion that continues to elevate the festival's popularity.
