E-tickets to be applied in Quanzhou railway station

Quanzhou will offer electronic ticket services, allowing passengers to take the train by scanning their faces or IDs with advanced machines during this Spring Festival, according to official of the Quanzhou Railway Station. 

China’s annual Spring Festival travel rush is the largest human migration in the world. This year's peak time for railway transportation will start from January 10 and will run to February 18, said Huang, a staff member of Quanzhou Railway Station. 

Since the beginning of 2019, electronic tickets, also known as paperless tickets, have been gradually promoted throughout the country. 

E-tickets are expected to open for sale on Dec 30 at Quanzhou Railway Station. It will be more convenient for citizens to travel. People can enter the station by swiping the QR code or ID card in the mobile phones, stated a staff of the railway station. 

Online ticket can be purchased 30 days ahead of the Spring Festival, and the train station windows will sell tickets two days later.
