Report highlights Quanzhou's favorable business environment

Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, ranked 15th among cities in China in terms of its business environment, according to the 2019 Chinese Cities Business Environment Report.

The annual report was released by China Media Group on June 18. It is the first authoritative third-party report on business environments released by the national mainstream media.

The report's evaluation framework covered five fields including infrastructure, human resources, financial services, government affairs and innovation.

It evaluated 100 cities' business environments in areas such as systems, markets, resources, technology, talents, funds, and other key aspects that affect business development.

Based on its private economy, in recent years, Quanzhou has dedicated itself to creating a first-class business environment. It launched a series of policies and measures, such as simplifying administrative examinations and approval procedures for enterprises, and promoting the handling of government affairs online.

In 2019, Quanzhou's gross domestic product hit 994.67 billion yuan ($140.38 billion), ranking first in the province for 21 consecutive years, a year-on-year increase of 8 percent.

Also, its newly-added market entities increased by 57 percent year on year.
