The fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival is set to take place in Quanzhou, Fujian province, from Dec 8 to 13. This is the schedule for the event.

Part 1

Opening ceremony

The performance "Afar Miles of Maritime Silk Road - Zayton Love Across Time" will be shown during the opening ceremony. This show will showcase elements of the Maritime Silk Road and Quanzhou's uniqueness.

Part 2

Five Stars Rising in the East: The Belt and Road International Art Exhibition Collection

This exhibition will feature nearly 800 works from home and abroad that explore the historical and cultural connotations of the Belt and Road Initiative from different perspectives.

Part 3

14th International Quanzhou Nanyin Symposium

Thirteen domestic and overseas Nanyin associations from Singapore, Malaysia and other countries and regions will hold more than 10 exchange and joint performances.

Part 4

10th Anniversary of Culture City of East Asia: China-Japan-Korea Theatrical Festival

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Culture City of East Asia program, dance companies from Quanzhou, Yokohama and Gwangju will present a cultural exhibition in Quanzhou together.

Part 5

Silk Road Treasures - The Third Maritime Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition

Titled "Thousand Years of Silk Road, Splendor Intangible Cultural Heritages" and featuring the themes of peace, harmony, cooperation and sharing, this exhibition focuses on representative intangible cultural heritage works from countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road as well as representative intangible cultural heritage items of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities along the Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road in China and Fujian province. 

The exhibition aims to showcase the spirit of craftsmanship and the artistic creations of inheritors of cultural heritage.
