5th Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival aims to promote cultural exchanges

Fifty-two art groups from three countries and regions as well as more than 1,600 artists, experts and scholars, international friends and media journalists are participating in the fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival, which opened on Dec 8 in Quanzhou and will run till Dec 13.

The "Afar Miles of Maritime Silk Road - Zayton Love Across Time" performance will be held in the Straits Sports Center of Quanzhou tonight.

This event will highlight the exchanges between Chinese and foreign civilizations and the convergence of diverse cultures. Activities will include the Five Stars Rising in the East: The Belt and Road International Art Exhibition Collection and the 14th International Quanzhou Nanyin Symposium.

Held every two years, the festival is an important platform for countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road to carry out cultural exchanges and cooperation and enhance people-to-people communication.
