Zhangye's Ganzhou district experienced a tourism boom during the Qingming holiday, as countless tourists were attracted by the exhilarating blend of outdoor recreations at Zhangye National Desert Sports Park.
The park sprawls across 18 square kilometers, boasting a 4A-level tourist designation. It seamlessly integrates outdoor sports, natural marvels, cultural immersions, ecological wellness activities, children's amusements and more.
During the holiday, three exciting new attractions debuted within the park -- a thrilling jumping machine, an immersive Egyptian adventure program, and a glass water slide stretching 500 meters in length and towering 32 meters high. These additions swiftly became the favored choices for visitors seeking a taste of adventure.
Reports indicate that during the Qingming Festival period, the scenic spot welcomed 3,450 visitors and achieved a turnover of 293,000 yuan ($40,504.61).
Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day Festival, is expected to generate strong demand for travel related to family visits, ancestral remembrance, outings and tourism.
The festival traditionally involves honoring ancestors and engaging in outdoor activities, leading to this significant rise in travel demand across China.
