Gansu's cultural heritage comes alive in Chinese New Year celebration

As the Chinese New Year approaches, Zhangye's Gaotai county officially kicked off its Spring Festival Cultural Tourism Series Event on Jan 21. 

The launch ceremony, themed "Heritage Welcomes the New Year: Lighting Up China with Lanterns," was held in Zhenjiang village, uniting over 200 practitioners and experts in  intangible cultural heritage. The event attracted more than 3,000 visitors and residents who gathered to enjoy an extraordinary cultural feast.
