Deputy Secretary General of the SCO Sohail Khan delivered a welcoming speech at the plenary session of the Business Partnership Week between the regions of the SCO member states, which opened on 7 August in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.

The speakers included Uzbekistani Minister of Investment and Industry Laziz Kudratov; Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Abbas Aliabadi; President of the Chamber of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Mukesh Mohan Gupta; Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Chyngyza Makeshova; Pakistani Minister of Commerce Muhammad Qazi; representative of the Chelyabinsk Region government Dmitry Glukharev, Russia; Tajikistani Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda, and others.

On the same day, Sohail Khan attended a panel session on “Cooperation in agriculture and ensuring food security as in the case of region-to-region cooperation between the SCO countries.”

The meeting also included B2B and G2B negotiations on e-commerce, green economy, transport and logistics, digital transformation, region-to-region cooperation, investment, industrial cooperation and other priority issues.
