Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences

The Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences (BAAFS) was established in 1958 and now has 1,230 employees, of whom 574 have senior professional titles, 558 have doctoral degrees, and many high-end talents such as one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, five Beijing Scholars, one national distinguished young scholar, and two national outstanding young scholars. There are 15 institutes (centers) with business fields covering all aspects of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery. The three disciplines of "Plant and Animal Science","Agricultural Science" and " Environment and Ecology "and "Environment and Ecology" have been ranked in the top 1% of the world by Essential Science Indicators (ESI).
