Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University

Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University (Hereinafter referred to as Beijing Tiantan Hospital) was founded on August 23rd, 1956. It is a third-grade class-A hospital with the guide of neurosurgery and the characteristic of neuroscience cluster including medical treatment, teaching, research and preservation as well as a Asian clinical, scientific and teaching base of neurosurgery. Since established sixty-two years ago, it has inherited the spirit of "noble medical ethics, excellence, rigorousness, practicality, diligence and honesty" and adhered to the purpose of "serving patients wholeheartedly". A number of Chinese clinical neuroscientists and leaders have emerged successively, such as Academician Wang Zhongcheng, Academician Zhao Jizong, Professor Dai Jianping and Professor Wang Yongjun.

A new hospital of Beijing Tiantan Hospital started to be constructed in December, 2013. It was in trial operation fully on October 6th, 2018. It was put into operation officially on January 30th, 2019. It has been the first large-scale comprehensive third-grade class-A hospital relocated fully in Beijing City since the People's Republic of China was founded.Located at South Fourth Ring Western Road No. 119, Fengtai District, the new hospital covers an area of 181,581 square meters as well as a total building area of 352,294 square meters,one thousand six hundred and fifty authorized beds and three thousand two hundred and ten employees by 2019. It has large medical equipments such as gamma knife, PET/MR, PET/CT, linear accelerator, magnetic resonance, and a large number of excellent medical experts and high-quality teaching faculty.

In addition, it adheres to the new development concept of "innovation driving, talent priority, cooperation and win-win situation", With the development strategy of "Strong Specialty and Great Comprehension", it will try to build the China Neuroscience Innovation Center and the National Clinical Medical Center, implement the medical spirit of "respecting life, saving lives, treating injuries, being willing to dedicate and great love" and give full play to the responsibility of public hospitals so as to make new and greater contributions to the construction on "Healthy Beijing".
