Deputy Secretary Xie Wei advocates for global engagement, innovation
Deputy Secretary Xie Wei of Nansha Development Zone's Party Working Committee visited the Greater Bay Area Science Forum secretariat on Dec 24, where he highlighted the forum's progress in elevating its international and high-end standards and gave constructive suggestions regarding the future development of the secretariat.
In terms of international engagement, he suggested that the secretariat establish regular dialogues with global scientific organizations, inviting them to Nansha for enhanced cooperation and ultimately boosting the forum's global stature.
To deepen involvement with academic experts, he advised the secretariat to strengthen services for the Strategic Advisory Committee, fostering closer ties between experts and the forum to enhance its academic and technological influence.
He also encouraged the secretariat to focus on expanding the forum's reach and impact through collaborations with international forums, showcasing innovation to improve the GBA's brand in tech innovation.
In pursuing sustainable development, he said the secretariat should refine operational strategies, driving market-oriented growth and advancing technology application and conversion following the Guangdong Science and Technology Achievement Matchmaking Conference.
In the future, the secretariat will transform the forum into a premier scientific event, promoting research exchange, showcasing achievements, fostering consensus, and exploring innovation, contributing to the GBA's tech innovation landscape.
