From Sept 29 to Oct 6, the Danjiaxu scenic spot in Maoming will hold an eight-day event themed on the guochao. It's a popular consumer trend, where young folks select products with Chinese cultural elements.

At the entrance square of Danjiaxu, there'll be daily performances by folk music bands. In addition, there will be eight consecutive nights of Cantonese opera performances, with 12 performed each night, giving fans a feast for the ears.

During the event, several classic children's plays such as Little Red Riding Hood will also be staged.

On Oct 1-6, there will be a big performing art show and a diverse range of song and dance performances.

In the Danjiaxu area, the Fucheng scenic area has introduced old-styled photography galleries, painting and calligraphy institutes and traditional tea ceremonies in order to create an ancient street.

Various interactive games, such as throwing embroidered balls and face painting, will be staged during the event.

Additionally, the Fucheng scenic area will feature traditional Chinese cultural exhibitions such as Song Dynasty (1045-1105) tea ceremonies, ancient blue dyeing, brewing of large bowls of tea, as well as Chinese ink painting and ceramics making.
