Since November 2024, Qianpai town in Xinyi, Maoming, known as China's "Hometown of Plums", has been a tourism hotspot thanks to its iconic scenic spots like Shihuo'Ao and Luhuding.

At Shihuo'Ao, located in southwestern Qianpai and rising to more than 1,300 meters above sea level, visitors are enchanted by an ethereal sea of clouds. This spectacular view usually appears at dawn and dusk – with rugged peaks rising majestically amid the golden sunlight, as a sea of clouds cascades through the valleys, creating a heavenly realm.

Meanwhile, Luhuding offers a painterly and dreamlike landscape. Located at the junction of Qianpai and neighboring towns Magui and Shenzhen, the area is rich in biodiversity and boasts a high forest coverage rate that includes diverse vegetation such as secondary forests, shrublands, broadleaf forests, mixed conifer-broadleaf forests, and groves of fir and cedar.

The core attractions in the area are the scenic "Deer Lake" and its picturesque surroundings. The reflection of the landscape in the lake adds to the glamour, creating a fairytale-like experience for visitors.

In 2024, the popularity of Shihuo'Ao and Luhuding boosted Qianpai's winter tourism. The influx of visitors has bolstered the local economy, increasing demand for dining and lodging.
