The feed coal stock construction is almost complete in February.

The Baosteel Base in Zhanjiang continues construction during the Spring Festival to ensure the No.1 blast furnace could be put into production timely in September.

The steel base is speeding up construction and installation of major facilities and equipments for the whole smelting process including the blast furnance, steelmaking, continuous casting and hot rolling, and cold rolling.

A total of more than 20 billion yuan ($3.2 billion) has been put into the Zhanjiang steel project, which is expected to bring enormous economic benefits to the port city.

The workers continue construction work during the Spring Festival.
