Since the beginning of this year, Zhanjiang Customs has completed the recommendation of foreign health registration for eight aquatic companies, increasing the total number to 37 in the Zhanjiang Customs area, covering countries and regions like the EU, Russia, South Korea, Vietnam, Costa Rica, and Indonesia.

Foreign health registration refers to the inspection and approval of China's export food production enterprises by the customs of relevant countries or regions according to their food production technical specifications and health standards. Companies that meet the requirements will be recommended to foreign countries and can only export food after receiving approval by the relevant countries or regions.

To promote the stable development of foreign trade and help enterprises develop their presence in international markets, the customs explained to enterprises in detail the standards for recommending foreign health registration in relevant countries and regions, as well as encouraged and supported enterprises to expand the scope of countries (regions) in foreign health registration.

Zhanjiang Customs also organized a review expert group to conduct one-on-one tutoring on-site for 20 companies, guiding them to improve their health quality management system according to the laws and regulations of relevant countries or regions, as well as the technical specifications and health management requirements provided by the relevant authorities.

A leader at Zhanjiang Customs said that it will continue to increase efforts to recommend foreign health registration for aquatic enterprises to promote the stable development of the aquatic industry.
