Early in the morning on Feb 3, the first batch of 330 cases of medical supplies purchased from abroad arrived in Zhanjiang from Sanya, Hainan province.

The headquarters for the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus in Zhanjiang has collected and analyzed the production, operation, supply, and inventory of emergency medical supplies in the city.

Government leaders in Zhanjiang quickly approached Hainan to negotiate with the entrusting agency on Jan 31, and successfully signed a procurement agreement with them on Feb 1. This opened the channel for the large-scale procurement of prevention and control materials from overseas.

Next, the city will take action to ensure the adequate supply of resources through government support, business donations, support from various chambers of commerce, and overseas supply channels.
