Zhanjiang customs take steps to promote foreign trade

In order to cope with the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic on foreign trade, Zhanjiang customs issued the 21 Measures for Zhanjiang Customs to Promote Stable Growth of Foreign Trade to assist import and export enterprises in the city to resume production, as well as promote the development of foreign trade.

The measures cover five aspects, including optimizing the effectiveness of customs clearance, simplifying business procedures, implementing deferred payment of taxes and fees, guiding enterprises with preferential policies, as well as strengthening cooperation with local governments to improve the business environment and minimize the impact of the epidemic.

Zhanjiang customs have set up designated windows for convenient customs clearance of epidemic prevention and control materials to ensure the supply of medical materials necessary for the resumption of enterprises, such as masks and gloves, as well as production raw materials.

It has comprehensively implemented contactless application for enterprise registration and filing, certificate of origin visas, as well as approval of export supervision warehouses, helping enterprises to get certificates without going to the Zhanjiang customs' offices.

It also helped breeding and planting enterprises import foreign high-quality seeds, as well as opened green channels for agricultural products and food imports with clearance apponintment and fast quarantine approval. 

In addition, Zhanjiang customs have collected recruitment information of local enterprises and employment intentions of impoverished households to help impoverished people find jobs nearby, as well as ease the workforce shortages of enterprises.
