A drill for emergency infections of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in primary and secondary schools was held at Zhanjiang Health School on March 31 to prepare students for returning to classes.
The emergency response process and properly handled measures of various student emergency situations were clearly showcased in the drill through field simulations of students entering school, attending classes, and dining to ensure the safety and health of teachers and students.
The drill simulated the whole process of launching initial emergency response plans for COVID-19 prevention and control, as well as emergency handling, such as reporting, isolation, disinfection, and class suspension processes, in a timely manner when someone shows symptoms of COVID-19.
In this critical period, departments of Zhanjiang are required to strengthen supervision and guidance to ensure that schools get ready for students. Personnel inspection and monitoring will be strictly implemented, while prevention and control material reserves will be completed to minimize the impact of the epidemic on the progress and quality of education and teaching.
