Students from all kinds of schools in Zhanjiang will return to school in phases from April 27, according to information released from the city's eighth press conference on its COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control efforts that was held on April 23.

Junior and senior high school graduating students will return to school on April 27. After May 11, students of other grades in middle and primary schools will return to school in stages, as well as graduating students of universities and colleges in Zhanjiang.

After May 18, students of other grades in universities and colleges, technical schools, as well as secondary vocational schools can return to school phase by phase according to their own situations.

Reopening time for kindergartens and special schools has not been decided yet. Off-campus training institutions shall not carry out offline teaching activities before kindergarten children return to school.

To ensure students' safety, nucleic acid tests have been conducted to teachers, school doctors, canteen staff, dorm supervisors, and other school staff members.

Various kinds of epidemic prevention supplies have also been fully prepared. By April 22, schools in Zhanjiang have prepared about 21.26 million facial masks, more than 38,200 thermodetectors or thermometers, over 221,200 disinfecants, and 180,700 bottles of hand sanitizer.
