Zhanjiang in Guangdong province held its first online job fair this year for college graduates on May 29 to build an online platform for college students to find jobs and for enterprises to recruit talents.

This was also the first online job fair for college graduates held this year in Guangdong.

Enterprises like Zhanjiang Nongken introduced their company environment, advantages, future direction of development, and demands for talents for participating college graduates, as well as answered questions raised by graduates.

In addition, officials of the city's bureau of human resources and social security explained the employment and entrepreneurship-related policies for graduates, as well as rights protection and preferential policies for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises recruiting college students.

More than 5,300 graduate students of Guangdong Ocean University, Guangdong Ocean University Cunjin College, Guangdong Medical University, Lingnan Normal University, as well as Guangdong Institute of Arts and Sciences applied for a job through the online job fair.

Zhanjiang will actively implement the province's nine policies to promote employment, as well as the city's 19 measures, including supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.

The city will also carry out 200 special job fairs in various forms within this year, such as recruitment activities of State-owned enterprises, to help migrant workers and the local workforce find jobs.
