Jinsha Bay Beach in Zhanjiang was recently chosen by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment as one of the nine pilot sites for the province's 2020 action for beautiful beaches.

The 2020 action for beautiful beaches aims to promote coastal and marine ecosystem conservation, as well as celebrate World Oceans Day, which falls on June 8.

Problems like garbage pollution on the beaches and imperfect cleaning mechanisms will be solved through the action. In addition, public awareness of coastal and marine ecosystem conservation will be raised through public participation, public supervision, as well as publicity.
