Three industrial parks in Zhanjiang have been included on a list of the first batch of provincial-level modern agriculture industrial parks due for construction in Guangdong province in 2020, according to a notification from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province on June 16.

Building modern agriculture industrial parks can promote the integrated development of industries, expand opportunities for rural employment and increased incomes, foster new growth drivers for rural areas, and boost rural revitalization.

The provincial construction list includes five modern agriculture industrial parks for advantageous industries, 23 industrial parks for characteristic industries, and 10 industrial parks built by self-raised funds in the Pearl River Delta region.

The deep sea cage aquaculture industrial park in Zhanjiang was chosen among the list of the modern agriculture industrial parks for advantageous industries, while the Lianjiang Tea Industrial Park and Zhanjiang CP Group (Suixi) Pig Industrial Park were included on the list of industrial parks for characteristic industries.
