Nandan Geyasigu Scenic Area (4A)
The Geyasigu Scenic Area is located in Lihu Yao and Encun villages in Chengguan town, Nandan county. It is 9.8 kilometers outside of Chengguan and was financed and built by Guangxi Dongmou Tourism Development Co. The company plans to build a comprehensive leisure resort featuring ethnic culture, tours, shopping, agriculture, green catering and accommodation.
In the Yao language, "Ge" is the name of a place and "Yasigu" signifies a beautiful Yao girl named Aya. Geyasigu, by extension, is a place where one can easily find beautiful Yao girls.
The entire scenic spot covers an area of approximately 9.6 square kilometers and carries a total cost of 200 million yuan ($31.87 million). It will be constructed to include a demonstration area for Baiku Yao ethnic culture, a karst geological museum, a boutique hotel area, a catering service area, a farming experience area, a folk craft display area and so on. The scenic spot will also showcase certain aspects of Yao culture such as wedding and funeral customs, costumes, religion, food and bronze drums.
When you come here, you will be able to experience the beautiful Baiku Yao mud hotel, which is made entirely out of wood and mud.
You can watch performances of Yao's mysterious love stories and marriage customs and the largest variety of national sports competitions in Guangxi or experience Baiku Yao's ethnic costumes. You can also enjoy 3D light shows and spa health yoga in the three-kilometer underground canyon.
