Nanning offers lucrative incentives to highly-skilled talents
Highly-skilled talents in Nanning can receive up to 200,000 yuan ($29,509) under a series of new policies introduced to attract and cultivate talents, announced the local human resources and social security bureau on Jan 16.
Talents who win gold, silver, or bronze medals, or the Medallion for Excellence, in the WorldSkills Competition will be given an award between 80,000 and 200,000 yuan.

Winners of the Skills Award of China will receive 200,000 yuan, and national technical experts will be granted 100,000 yuan. Those winning provincial skills competitions or recognized as provincial technical experts will be rewarded 50,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan, respectively.
Newly settled talents meeting the requirements will receive half of their award after having worked in a Nanning enterprise or public institution for six months, and receive the other half after having worked there for 12 months.
Locals will receive half of the money upon obtaining any of the abovementioned awards or titles, and receive the other half after working for 12 months.
Nanning will also offer subsidies to technicians in key or strategic emerging industries. Regular technicians will receive subsidies equal to 50 percent of their personal contributions to social security packages, whereas senior technicians will receive subsidies equal to 60 percent.
