The Caidiao musical drama New Liu Sanjie is a key cultural creative project in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Produced together by the region's information office, department of culture and tourism and multi-ethnic opera ensemble, New Liu Sanjie uses new themes, contexts, characters, interpretations, and stages to reflect the hot life of new rural construction.

New Liu Sanjie focuses on changes in the psychological level of the characters in the play. The music features the organic integration of different forms, the character and Guangxi music.

The stage presentation introduces the latest stage 3D projection technology and strives to create a more freehanded and poetic atmosphere.

The play follows the theme of reality while also telling the story of a new era of Guangxi's decisive victory in developing an all-around well-off society and eradicating poverty.

Chief director Gong Xiaodong said the creation of New Liu Sanjie not only tells the story of Guangxi's victory against poverty, but also hopes that everyone can listen to the inner call and bring the best memories of the land and the nation, accompanied by the singing of Liu Sanjie.
