In recent years, the development of China-ASEAN cross-border e-commerce has been flourishing. Nanning, the capital city located nearest to ASEAN countries, has shown significant advantages in developing cross-border e-commerce industries targeting ASEAN.

The Nanning area has formed a cluster zone for cross-border e-commerce towards ASEAN and a talent cultivation base, becoming a new driver of foreign trade growth.

Guangxi Qidi Innovation Cross-Border E-commerce Company is a cross-border e-commerce enterprise operating in the area. As a digital trade innovation channel service provider targeting RCEP countries, the company is involved in cross-border industry services and talent development.

Its "Innovative Talent Cultivation Model for Cross-Border E-commerce Oriented Towards ASEAN" project has been recognized by the Guangxi government as a "best practice" case for regional-level institutional innovation achievements in the China (Guangxi) Free Trade Pilot Zone.

Since last year, the Nanning area of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone has been developing new trade formats, with 14 enterprises in cross-border e-commerce achieving more than 500 million yuan ($69 million) in imports and exports, making the area a domestic leader in this regard.

The area pioneered the Nanning Comprehensive Bonded Zone - Nanning airport bonded goods automatic unlocking fast clearance model and launched the first cross-border e-commerce goods customs supervision and railway security check parallel operation pilot in Guangxi.

Nanning's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports have grown 20-fold in the past five years, with business volume accounting for over 80 percent of Guangxi's total, forming a cluster zone for cross-border e-commerce focused on ASEAN and a talent cultivation base.
