The Wuxuan-Laibin-Heshan-Xincheng Expressway was fully completed and opened to traffic on Dec 26, establishing a convenient land route from central Guangxi to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The expressway runs for 118.17 kilometers in Laibin, traversing Wuxuan county, Xingbin district, Heshan city, and Xincheng county, as well as 16 towns. Development of the expressway was coordinated by the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The expressway is noted for its refined management and quality construction, with a connecting bridge next to the main line of the Xinyu Hongshui River Giant Bridge allowing people to cross in just five minutes without entering the expressway.

With the completion of the expressway, all counties and districts in Laibin are now connected by highway, reducing travel time from Wuxuan to Xincheng via Heshan from 3.5 hours to 1.5 hours and significantly optimizing the regional transportation network.
