Nanning Wuxu International Airport in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region announced the launch of a new international route between Nanning, Guangxi, and Haiphong, Vietnam, starting on Jan 7.

The new air route is operated by Qingdao Airlines and is scheduled to run three times per week. It is designated as flight number QW6185/6.

The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam and the year of the China-Vietnam cultural exchange. The launch of the Nanning-Haiphong route is expected to further enhance economic and cultural exchanges between Guangxi and Vietnam, positively impacting trade and tourism development as Haiphong is a significant economic city in the ASEAN region.

Guangxi has been continuously deepening civil aviation cooperation with ASEAN in recent years, building an efficient and convenient China-ASEAN air corridor.

In 2024, Nanning airport reinstated 19 international and regional routes to Bangkok, Phnom Penh, and Singapore, covering 15 destinations. New routes have been introduced to improve Nanning's connectivity to cities in ASEAN.
